To get the most out of your luxurious candle, here are some key tips for care:

  • Wick it good: Before each burn, trim the wick to about 3mm using a wick trimmer or nail clippers. This prevents soot and promotes a clean, even burn.
  • First burn is key: On the first burn, aim for 3-4 hours. This allows the wax to melt all the way to the edges, preventing tunneling (wax melts only in the center) in future burns.
  • Location, location, location: Place your candle away from drafts, fans, and open windows. Drafts can cause uneven burning and flickering.
  • Don’t burn it out: Extinguish the candle after 4 hours at most. This helps the wax cool properly and prevents overheating the container.
  • Extinguish with care: Don’t blow out the candle. Use a snuffer or dip the wick into the melted wax (straighten it up first) to extinguish it safely and avoid smoke.
  • Clean and store it right: Keep dust and debris out of the wax by keeping the lid on when not in use. Store your candle in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to preserve the fragrance.
